#1 Your Morning Routine
20 Minutes Sets Your Day Up for Success

Your Morning Routine (Step 1 in your DMO) is what will help you to remain consistent with Steps 2, 3 and 4; Networking, Inviting/ATMing and Following-Up… which are the DAILY ACTIONS that will create results for success in your business!

Morning Routine

  1. Focus on Your Goals
  2. Affirmations
  3. Vision
  4. Personal Development
  5. Gratitude

1. Focus on Your Goals (2 Minutes)

Start each day with a quick reminder of where you’re going and WHY!

Take the 30, 60 and 90-Day Goals You Created in Foundation, and write each one down on a note-card.

Underneath each goal, write out 3-5 BENEFITS of achieving that goal!

Each morning, start your day by reading over your note-cards for 2 minutes.

2. Affirmations (2 Minutes)

Each morning, you want to spend 2 minutes reviewing your affirmations! To help you with understanding what affirmations are, why they’re so awesome, and to help you create your own, here’s the next step:

  1. Watch the Affirmations Video
  2. Use the “Affirmations Examples Worksheet” and the “Affirmations Worksheet” to Create Your Own Affirmations
  3. Share Your Top-3 Affirmations In the Facebook Group
  4. Review Your Affirmations Out Loud Every Morning During Your Morning Routine!

3. Vision (4 Minutes)

Visualization is one of the most powerful tools you can use to build your belief, expand your comfort zone and increase your motivation each day. That’s why you want to spend 4 minutes every morning in visualization!

  1. Use your Goal Statement Benefits and your Personal and Business Vision worksheet from Foundation and find 7-10 images that represent your VISION — we recommend going to Google.com and clicking on Images to search.
  2. Get SPECIFIC — take some time to really DREAM here and find photos that resonate with you!
    • Pictures of your dream home, or even specific ROOMS inside your dream home!
    • Pictures of your dream destination
    • Family photos of you and your spouse/kids
    • Pictures that represent business milestones and/or rank advancements
  3. You have several options for what to DO with your pictures once you find them!
    • Print them out and hang them on your wall or on a bulletin board
    • Save them to a special album on your phone or computer
    • Create a collage and save it as the background of your phone or computer
  4. Each morning, spend 4 minutes reviewing your personal and business vision, and looking at your photos!

As you look, VISUALIZE — use your imagination! Smell the smells… see the sights… hear the sounds. What will it FEEL like when those photos are your reality?

4. Personal Development (10 minutes)

In the beginning, when developing the habit of a morning routine, we recommend engaging in Personal Development for 10 minutes, 5 days a week; feeding your mind with books and audios that will help you to develop the mindset, beliefs and thought patterns for success.

When we were first told to do this, we’ll be honest… we thought it was a waste of our time!

We were wrong. Today, we read and/or listen to personal development 30 minutes or more… every single day!

If you were to ask either one of us, “What is the ONE thing that will make the largest positive impact on my business?”  We’d say, “DAILY PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT.”

Begin with The Miracle Morning, by Hal Elrod. Hal’s story will BLOW YOUR MIND!

Not sure what to read, next? Post in the group and the team will have a long list of suggestions!

5. Gratitude (2 Minutes)

“Gratitude is the healthiest of all human emotions.
The more you express gratitude for what you have,
the more likely you will
have even more to express gratitude for.”
~ Zig Ziglar

In the last 2 minutes of your morning routine, focus on gratitude.

Something as simple as a spiral from the office supply store is fine… or if you’d like you can Google “Gratitude Journals” and all kinds of beautiful gratitude journals will pop up.

Take a couple of minutes each morning and note a few things you are grateful for.

Examples:
I am grateful for…
1. My beautiful family.
2. The opportunity to work from home.
3. The changing of the seasons.

Tracking Your Morning Routine

Why track and is really that important to your success?

Tracking holds you accountable to yourself. It provides data (a method for keeping score) to know which activities you’ve been consistent with… and where you might have fallen short.

Click on the image of the Morning Routine Tracking Chart and print a copy for each month. If you prefer an app, check out the Insight Timer. I’m sure there are other ones out there, as well. We’ve been using this app since February of 2013 to track our Morning Routine.

Tracking is a ‘secret weapon’ for creating new habits!

And remember… “We are a collection of our habits.”
